If bags are used instead of dry tea leaves, they are put together in the form of a “pyramid” so that the flow of water passes through them evenly and the tea is brewed completely.

It should be taken into account that the leaf product brews faster, because the flow of hot water circulates freely between the tea leaves – and this allows you to get a well-infused drink, but to get a strong enough brew from bagged tea, you will have to wait a little longer for the broth to be ready.
The coffee maker can also be used to make cold tea infusions. The tea infusion is brewed stronger than usual, after being ready it is poured into a tempered glass dish, diluted with cold water and ice cubes until the soft drink is ready while maintaining its sufficient strength.
If the coffee maker remains the preferred device for brewing both tea and coffee, it is more practical to purchase a separate coffee maker for brewing coffee and a separate one for tea or herbal infusion. In this case, the smells of drinks will not mix, and the device will not require cleaning after each session of making a drink.
The coffee maker is more useful for making herbal teas, which require a long brewing time for their full readiness. In a coffee maker, tea stays hot longer, because this technique is designed to maintain the temperature of the water for a long time – which allows the taste and smell of the resulting herbal infusion to fully develop.
