Dyson V11 Vacuum Review [2023]

Are Dyson vacuums worth it? One editor put the V11 Torque Drive cord-free vacuum to the test.

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

I’m proud to announce that I reached peak adulthood. How do I know? I got excited about a vacuum cleaner.

Now, previously, vacuuming was a chore I absolutely dreaded. I mean, who actually enjoys lugging a heavy machine around to each room, plugging it into a different outlet every five minutes and sticking their hand into a grimy filter? I certainly don’t. Especially once I learned how often I should be vacuuming!

So, when I got the opportunity to test out Dyson’s V11 Torque Drive cord-free vacuum, I was intrigued. This modern cleaning tool looks more like a spaceship than a vacuum cleaner, and it boasts a lot of impressive features. The only downside? A $700+ price tag.

We put this vacuum cleaner through the paces so you can decide once and for all, are Dyson vacuums worth it?

What is the Dyson V11 vacuum?

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

The V11 is labeled as “Dyson’s most intelligent, powerful cordless vacuum. ” It boasts up to an hour of run time and is suitable to use on a variety of floor types. The V11 works as both a standard, upright vacuum as well as a handheld cleaner for hard-to-reach spots.

Plus, we can all but guarantee this is the smartest vacuum you’ll ever use. An LCD screen indicates battery level, remaining run time, filter cleaning reminders and blockages. And the built-in Dynamic Load Sensor system automatically adjusts between floor types—so no more fumbling with pedals and buttons as you transition between the carpeted hallway and hardwood bedroom floors.

As an added bonus, the V11 is a completely cordless vacuum. And it runs on the impressive suction power Dyson is famous for.

Unboxing the Dyson V11

When the Dyson V11 arrived, I was impressed by how much they were able to fit into a relatively small package. Upon opening, I unveiled the vacuum, a connecting shaft, several attachments, a docking station, a charger and the Torque Drive head.

At first, all of these pieces looked pretty intimidating. But with the help of the operating manual, I had the vacuum fully assembled in mere minutes.

The next step was to charge the machine. Since I live in an apartment (where drilling holes in the wall is a major no-no), I opted to just plug the vacuum directly into the wall charger. But the vac does come with a mounting plate, if you’re so inclined.

How the Dyson V11 Works

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

Start by selecting your desired power mode: Eco, Auto or Boost. Eco is for longer cleaning projects and ensures you’ll get the most bang out of your battery’s buck. Auto mode is a medium setting that will help your vacuum automatically adjust its power when transitioning between floors. And Boost—an intense cleaning mood that will suction even the most ground-in dirt and grime. To toggle between power modes, simply press a button on the vacuum’s LCD screen. (Yeah, it’s that fancy).

Once you select a power mode, start the vacuum by holding down a trigger. This design definitely takes a little time to get used to. At first, I thought I was doing something wrong because the vacuum would shut off when I let go. But in hindsight, this feature helps preserve your vacuum’s battery life since it uses power only when you’re cleaning. (As opposed to a standard vacuum that keeps running until you turn it off).

How We Tested It

The Cleaning Test: Hardwood and Tile Floors

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

First, I vacuumed the hardwood floors in my apartment on Eco mode. I was impressed (and slightly horrified) with how much dust and hair the Dyson picked up. I consider myself a fairly clean person, but this machine had so much more power compared to the vacuum I previously used. Plus, since I didn’t have to worry about plugging it in, I could move the vacuum into hard-to-reach areas I’ve never been able to access, like underneath radiators. This was just one of the spots I’m not vacuuming, but should be.

I had to empty the cleaning bin twice as I vacuumed my tiny one-bedroom space. Yikes! But luckily the process was super simple. I disconnected the machine from the shaft, pulled down the opening bin over the trash and snapped the bin back in place.

A few weeks later, after a mishap with cereal in my kitchen, I tried the Dyson on my tiled kitchen floor. A single pass on Auto mode picked up most of the pieces, and after five swipes, the floor was completely crumb-free. The power of the Torque head did send a few larger pieces flying off into the corners, but they were easy to track down and suck up on the second try.

I will admit, vacuuming in my kitchen made me nervous. Since the Dyson V11 uses such sophisticated technology, even small amounts of water can harm the vacuum. I’m mindful to only clean my kitchen floors when I’m confident there are are no wet spots from washing dishes or rinsing produce. I also avoid the bathroom entirely.

The Cleaning Test: Carpeting and Rugs

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

To really stretch this vac’s legs I took it to my parents’ house, which has carpet, hardwood and tile floors. My mom was initially skeptical—she typically changes the settings in between each flooring type—but instantly fell in love. The Dyson performed just as well on carpet as it did on hardwood, sucking up a full bin of dust, hair and dirt. (And my mom’s stricter about her vacuuming schedule than I am!) The only drawback? On some settings, the vacuum was a little hard to push on carpet.

I also used the Dyson to clean up a plant that fell on my rug. In just one pass, all of the dirt and debris was gone. It’s as if the mess never even happened! I did have to be careful vacuuming near the edges, though, as the Dyson tries to suck up the rug itself.

The Cleaning Test: Furniture

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

I also tested out the hand-vac attachments on my couch. At first, I accidentally plugged in the wrong attachment, but the machine quickly alerted me with a warning message on the LCD screen. Once I rectified my mistake, I put the vacuum on Boost mode and worked my way around the furniture. In less than five minutes it was crumb-free and just as clean as when I first bought it. I frequently use the hand-vac feature in my car, too. Find out what the best hand vacuum options are for your dust-busting needs.

Dyson V11 Update

I’ve been using Dyson’s V11 Torque Drive cord-free vacuum for over two years now—and I still love it. I’ve moved to a larger space with all hardwood and tile floors, and the Dyson V11 keeps dust, dirt and other debris at bay. Plus, it still runs and charges like the day I first opened it! The only signs of wear are some scuff marks on the Torque Drive head.

Oh, and my mom is officially a convert, too. She bought a Dyson V11 to pick up dog hair my sister’s golden retriever leaves behind. After all, Dyson is known in the industry for making one of the best vacuums for pet hair.

The one (slight) downside to this vacuum cleaner is that it doesn’t have a wet option. Even small amounts of water can harm the LCD screen and other smart components, so I take extra care when vacuuming my kitchen floor. By the way, here are more things you should never try to vacuum.

Pros

  • No cord means you can use the vacuum anywhere
  • Easy to use and charge
  • Picks up a ton of dirt, dust and debris
  • Three cleaning modes for any task
  • A variety of attachments for cleaning furniture, stairs and other tricky spots
  • Low-profile head makes it easy to vacuum under beds and sofas
  • Battery lasts for several short cleaning sessions, or one long one
  • Trusted Dyson name
  • 2-year warranty

Cons

  • Some may find the hold-down trigger difficult to use
  • Can be hard to push on carpeting
  • Not suitable for wet or damp spaces (i.e. kitchens and bathrooms)
  • With a price tag over $700, this vacuum cleaner is an investment

FAQs

How do you clean a Dyson V11 filter?

Cleaning is easy! Simply twist the purple part of the vacuum head to remove the filter. Wash it under cool water, then let it dry completely before re-inserting into the vacuum.

How do you empty the Dyson V11?

To empty the Dyson V11, remove the shaft and any attachments, then position the vacuum head over a trash can. Push down on the red lever to release the debris. On occasion, you may need to reach into the canister to reach debris that has wadded near the top of the canister. (This happens to me often as I have very long hair.)

How long do Dyson vacuums last?

The Dyson V11 has a 2-year warranty. But with proper care and maintenance, your machine can last for several years. I’m already past my vacuum’s 2 year mark, and it still performs beautifully.

What Other Reviewers Had To Say

I’m not the only one smitten with my new cleaning tool. Over 9,800 Amazon customers give this machine five stars.

“This is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned,” shares verified purchaser, S. Matney. “It is so lightweight that I can just walk with it from room to room; and being cordless, I don’t have to worry with plugging it in and dragging the cord around. I am very, very pleased with this purchase! Came fairly quickly, too.”

“I use it every day,” expresses five-star reviewer, Jeff Valdez. “Coming from an upright that was 15 years old, this is so much easier to use! Lugging the old one out of the utility closet to clean was a chore. This hangs conveniently on a wall and I rarely say this about cleaning, but this Dyson product makes cleaning fun. It works brilliantly for all my needs and comes with a load of accessories! Get one. If you are in doubt, as I was, try it out. You will not be disappointed.

Amazon customer LA shares the highest praise of all: “First off, it was better than Christmas when this new Dyson arrived. I was able to vacuum my entire apartment, with base boards and detailing of dusty furniture and blinds, in under 45 minutes one morning before I went to work. I couldn’t believe how much dust there was but already my eyes and sinuses are less itchy. I emptied the canister twice because I picked up so much dust.

Final Verdict: Is the Dyson V11 worth it?

Katie Bandurski/Taste of Home

Now, an answer to the question you’ve been waiting for: Is this vacuum really worth the price tag?

Answer: Yes! Trust me, I was a skeptic at first, too. After all, $700 is a lot of money. But there were so many features that made this vacuum worth the cost. It’s well-designed and so easy to use. Plus, it comes with a 2-year warranty and is one of the most well-respected brand names in the industry. (These kitchen brands are well-renowned, too).

But what really sold me was how clean my apartment felt after just one use. I suffer from allergies, and there’s nothing more satisfying than picking up dust and placing it in the trash where it belongs. Next, read up on our top cleaning tips for people with allergies.

Where to Buy a Dyson V11

via merchant

You can pick up the Dyson V11 at a variety of retailers, including Amazon, QVC and Dyson’s website. It retails for around $700. The feeling of a fresh, clean, well-vacuumed home, however, is priceless.

Just terrible

Just terrible. what a waste of time. I had my hair dryer break down (after a few months of use), called and was offered a replacement machine. Sent my machine to their center in TX, and then didn’t hear back for many weeks. I finally called and got UPS tracking for replacement machine, and then find out that the sender requested the mail to be sent back to them… just baffled. have been on the phone with them again and was told that I would get an email within 24 hours from the management department, and still nothing. Called again, and was told to wait more…

As a customer I love dyson’s…

As a customer I love dyson’s professional customer service and dyson products.
But my first shopping experience with dyson.com is poor. I own quite a few dyson products which I bought from other retailers.
But shipping a dirty Used unit with used filter, without remote from dyson’s own warehouse is unacceptable.

I asked how long as I was busy at the time, she said less than 10 mins. Nine minutes was collecting my personal info then serial number and saying well if it happens again you need a new part. I ended call. The trouble shooting was intel and nothing else.

I bought Dyson 15 Detect thinking that it would be the best, it’s not.

I bought Dyson 15 Detect thinking that I was getting the best product on the market. This is not the case. It will not work on my medium pile rug. The whole thing just sucks itself to the carpet and stops working. I contacted their support and they told me to send it in for repair, after looking online though this seems to be a common issue. I asked if I would get a temporary replacement as I use it several times a week and don’t have another one. I was told yes over email but when I called I was told I would only get a temporary replacement if my Dyson would take longer than normal to repair. I don’t think that this is acceptable seeing as I paid a lot of money for this vacuum.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Front line support was awful, just reading from a manual. Told me you can’t mail back a defective product, but all Canadians across the country must drive to Mississauga Ontario to drop it off. LOL. Getting a hold of a supervisor is taking over a week now. They intentionally play phone and email tag, and lead you on. Worst customer service I’ve received on a premium product in decades.

This vacuum cleaner is a complete scam — it never worked for more than a few minutes— then a year or so later it’s down to working maybe 8 seconds — then they tell you after interminable wait for tech support that maybe it’s the battery then they tell you to replace because it never actually worked and the battery costs over $150. 00 are you shocked yet? Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Front line support was awful and the supevisor was no awful too.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
The overpriced and under-performed v-11 cordless vacuum cleaner canister was defective and took me a lot of effort and time to troubleshoot the problem with the customer service after multiple phone calls and chats. Finally, I was told that another canister was ordered, and I should get it in 7 to 14 business day. I’ll never buy another Dyson product ever again. BUYER BE AWARE!!! Save your money and do not buy from Dyson. Dyson gets no star from me if available.

I purchased a Dyson Animal Ball 3 in…

I purchased a Dyson Animal Ball 3 in March of this year and the beater bar/power head is already broken and unusable. Called customer service and like most people here had a terrible experience. The customer rep, although pleasant, lacked the skill set to help me. First he said I didn’t have a warrantee, then I told him that I had the email in front of me from March stating “thank you” for registering your product with us for the warrantee”. Then all of a sudden he said that I would be getting a replacement part in 5-7 business days. I told him that I had 3 dogs and a cat and I can’t be without a vacuum for a week. I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if they could expedite it and at first he refused. Then told me I had to submit a picture of my broken part if I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I eventually did get a supervisor who apologized and told me I didn’t have to do that but that she couldn’t expedite it. I paid over $500 for this vacuum and 2 months in it’s already broken. The fit and finish is horrible and cheap. To put it back to the “upright” position, you literal need to slam it in place. Then there’s the ridiculous hose, that is so difficult to use due to the suction and the flimsy material the hose is made of. It’s like a Fisher Price toy vacuum-only for $500. I had a Shark for over 5 years no problem. Will probably go back to them in the future. This is a disgrace for this or any price point!

DO NOT buy from Dyson directly!!!

Dyson is absolutely terrible to do business with and I will NEVER buy directly from them again. I purchased directly from them and when they missed their delivery date I checked the tracking information and saw that the product hadn’t even been picked up by the carrier. Upon seeing this I called them and asked if there were other options for delivery and there were none and asked for a refund given that product wasn’t even sent to carrier yet. They said it would be here in about two days, so four days later I call back to ask about status of the refund and the agent tells me that “everything looks good” and I ask what does that mean. Agent says “there are notes in here” which again prompts to ask what do the notes say and she responds “that the other department got the request.” At this point, I start to get pretty livid with the agent for the cryptic messaging and just ask bluntly “Point blank – was there a credit issued?” and the answer is “I don’t know, only the other department knows and I don’t know how to talk to them.” At this point I give and just planned to wait one more day and get a dispute filed with the credit card company, but lo and behold, the product arrives on my doorstep now seven days after it was supposed and after I purchased another locally. I can’t imagine the return will be any more pleasant. I reitrate – I will NEVER buy directly from Dyson again.

Dyson is not a good brand they are overpriced. Have only a one year warranty which is fishy considering how expensive it is and you hear big brand like Google and ring who replace products after 4-5 years.. This is because you pay a thousand dollars for a vacume and then it breaks in a couple years. Mine lasted 4 years I called customer support and they wanted me to send it to them to fix that I would have to pay for. Sad a vacume that expensive lasts 4 years. Will never buy another dyson again.

Bought a Dyson Ball Animal almost $500. Worked twice & failed … after some back & forth got it returned to Dyson… then got a message that the model I returned was in not available and they offered me a lessor model which I agreed to… now over a month after this adventure started still no machine. Dyson is claiming some glitch with UPS … and to wait another 14 days to investigate … I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no one was available…. I said if they couldn’t produce a replacement then how about a refund … no luck there either … I may eat this $500 but I will strongly encourage all not to purchase a Dyson …Our previous vacuum was a Dyson that lasted a long time etc so purchased another …. Things must have changed … it would have been easier to take 5 one hundred dollar bills and burned them for entertainment ….

Why Dyson has a 2 year warranty.

Dyson has a 2 year warranty. Why 2 years? Because parts begin to fail immediately after the warranty ends. At 25 months the floor spinning brush attachment stopped working. At 27 months the main unit stopped working. Actually if whirls fast and slow for about 10 seconds, then stops. No error code, just stops, even with a full charge. Dustin’s support team’s solution was to sale me another new Dyson vacuum cleaner. I had read poor reviews from Consumers Reports and bought one anyway. Shame on me-never again. Our last vacuum cleaner lasted over 15 years without a repair. We just wanted a new more advanced vacuum.

Bought TWO Supersonics

Bought TWO Supersonics. Both overheated, stopped working. Nordstrom’s credited albeit were just days after warranty expired. Bought new one at Dyson NYC flagship. Stopped working literally at the two year mark when warranty nearly ran out. Dyson refuses to stand behind its products. They are aware given the thousands of complaints that the hair dryers have a limited lifespan and they malfunction with the same issues (overheating/not turning on). I bought in 2021 a European Dyson in Paris. I know it will be a matter of time it will stop working and I’ve only used it 20 times at best. Don’t buy a hairdryer. It won’t last. I was happier with the 75.00 turbo hair dryer that lasted 10 years. A $500 hair dryer should last an eternity and not fail at the two year mark or prior.

Snarky and Unhelpful

My V10 kept shutting off when fully charged. Their troubleshooting guide didn’t account for this case so I got sent incorrect replacement parts, was talked down to when I questioned whether all the battery lights being illuminated meant the vacuum needed charging and got put on hold forever. So much for “Iconic Service”

Dyson Airwrap Styler – Our Test & Review (2023)

Curl Attachment, Straightening Brush, Round Brush… Is there anything else in the Dyson Airwrap kit?

We would like to shed some light on this issue and together with you see how best to use the nozzles for styling.

Let’s take a look at the numerous attachments together. 👇

Step 1: Prep your hair with the

Dryer No matter whether you want to curl or straighten your hair, you first need to prep it with nozzles for drying.

This attachment is designed for all hair types.

During our test, the hair dried faster when using the hair dryer attachment, than when using a conventional hair dryer. 💪

In addition, the hair of our employees looked healthier.

This nozzle delivers a wide and strong air stream to the hair .

Simply run Airwrap through damp hair and it will dry in no time.

Particularly practical: the nozzle is designed in such a way that it does not draw in the hair.

This will keep your hair perfectly moisturized , allowing to continue working with other attachments. 🙌

Info: Since the Dyson Airwrap styler works with hot air, your hair must be wet by about 60-80% to use the other attachments.

Spray bottle*

For further styling you have 3 options to choice:

  • Straightening (hair straightening brush)
  • Curls (curl attachment)
  • Volumetric Styling (Round Volume Brush)

Next we would like to look at these various attachments and their applications. 👇

Straightening brush

Using straightening brush you can dry and straighten your hair in one stroke.

Especially if your hair is naturally slightly curly, this hot air brush is for you.

The warm air from the hair dryer also adds volume to hair. According to we think the result looks more natural than when using a conventional rectifier.

Tip: The result will be especially good if the short “baby hair” is dried at the end with a hair dryer with a dryer attachment.

Here we will show you how to use the dryer attachment and the straightening brush. 👇

During our tests, the hair was not as smooth as when using a conventional straightener.

Tip: If you want to make curls, it is recommended to lightly pre-treat them with a smoothing brush. This will help you deal with frizzy and frizzy hair.

Naturally curly hair with highlights

Curling with Dyson Airwrap

Dyson Airwrap includes 2 curling tips:

  • 30 mm diameter: for weak and fine hair
  • Diameter 40 mm: for thick and strong hair

Tip: The larger nozzle is especially suitable for voluminous curls and waves.

Thanks to Dyson’s innovative airflow technology, all you have to do is lift the end of the hair to the nozzle.

The appliance then automatically pulls the hair so that it wraps around the cap .

Extra strands, which do not fit on the nozzle, slip off by themselves.

After we practiced, we had no problems with the attachments.

Curling your hair with the Dyson Airwrap is much easier than using a regular curling iron.

When the entire length of the hair is positioned on the Airwrap, it is recommended to slightly move the device back and forth.

In this video we want to show you how to do it. 👇

After a few seconds (maximum 30 seconds) you can turn off the Dyson and free your hair.

Our tip: For particularly good results, we recommend that you briefly turn on the cool button before turning off the Airwrap and pulling it out of your hair.

Done! 🥳

You have created easy and natural curls.

Tip: After the hair has cooled, gently run your fingers through the strands. So your hair will look as natural as possible.

Even easier styling: part your hair

Particularly long hair is often difficult to style. Where to put the rest of your hair if you only need to style individual strands?

We recommend Divide hair into sections and secure with bobby pins.

It is best to pin up the top hair first.

In this way, you will remove all the hair and you can work with one strand.

Tip: For best styling results, we also recommend using at the highest heat setting.

Natural curls in different directions

During our test we tested the Dyson Airwrap with with a new curling attachment.

With this new attachment you can curl your hair in different directions for the most natural look. 🙌

Tip: the hairstyle will look especially natural if you curl your hair alternately in one direction or the other.

To do this, simply turn the slider in the direction of the arrows . 👇

Compare: previously Dyson Airwrap came with 2 nozzles.

Therefore, to curl curls in different directions, I had to constantly change the nozzle … Quite inconvenient.

Dyson has really taken a step forward with their new nozzle and has made the entire styling process much easier.

We are delighted with . 🚀

Tip: we recommend laying the front curls away from the face.

To do this, the arrow on the attachment must point away from your face when you look in the mirror.

Volumizing Round Brush

Want to style your hair neatly and create volumizing hair like you just stepped out of the hairdresser?

That’s why Dyson Airwrap comes with round brush. It gives volume and shape to hair . 🤩

With this high-quality device, you no longer have to work with a hairdryer in one hand and a brush in the other.

Instead, you can simply wrap your hair around the Dyson Airwrap Round Brush. 🙌

The multistyler then blows warm air into the hair. He dries hair and shapes the desired shape.

Caution: Because the Dyson blows air from all sides of the hair, unlike a normal hair dryer, this can lead to frizz.

Dyson Airwrap Application – Our Conclusion and Feedback

During our testing, participants created a wide variety of hairstyles with Dyson Airwrap.

In general, the results were more than worthy. 🤩

We were delighted with the ease of use of .

Although the whole styling process takes some time, you can create great hairstyles without much experience. 🚀

Dyson Supersonic hair dryer review: description, characteristics and differences of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer

Packaging

The packaging of the hair dryer, of course, already exceeds all expectations. Unlike conventional hair dryers, where all nozzles are with the hairdryer itself in one box and sometimes simply separated from each other by plastic bags, here each nozzle lies in its place and does not interact with other elements of the set. Why is it good? In addition to the visual component, this also protects the nozzles and the dryer itself from mechanical impact: the elements do not rub against each other, do not hit and, as a result, do not leave any scratches.

Yes, it takes more space, but it’s worth it.

What’s in the box

  1. Fen. Various nozzles are attached to it. By the way, the nozzles are attached with a magnet; don’t be afraid to pull harder to take them off – you won’t break anything.
  2. Diffuser. It regulates, softens and diffuses the air flow. This nozzle reduces the level of fluffiness of the hair and makes it smoother and more manageable.
  3. Smoothing cap. It keeps the hair smooth by controlling the airflow that blows evenly without letting the hair fly.
  4. Styling concentrator. It is an ultra-thin nozzle that directs the air flow in one direction and allows you to straighten your hair.
  5. Anti-slip mat. If you put a hair dryer on it, the gadget will not slide off any surface.

How to use the Dyson hair dryer

The hair dryer is very easy to use: you control the air temperature yourself, and, according to the developers, there is a built-in microprocessor inside that measures and regulates the air temperature 20 times per second. This, in turn, allows you not to burn your hair and maintain their natural shine.

Really?

Hair really doesn’t get as hot as a regular hair dryer. If drying with a simple hair dryer can sometimes burn your hands on your hair, then Dyson really seems to protect your hair from high temperatures. Hair does not overheat at all! Even at high temperatures.

In addition to adjusting the temperature, you can also adjust the air flow. The manual contains descriptions of all buttons. It’s better to read it, because without it you can’t immediately understand which button is responsible for what.

By the way, the developers recommend that those with thicker or curly hair choose the highest heat level, and those with fine or straight hair choose cooler Dyson settings.

How to use the diffuser

Despite the hostility of hairdressers to drying upside down, many Dyson owners write that this is exactly how you need to dry your hair with such a nozzle. The diffuser will definitely come in handy for those who have curly hair: it will not allow the hair to frizz and give the curls maximum volume.

Another way to dry with a diffuser is to point the nozzle up (as if to the ceiling) and put your hair on it. Then spray air from the bottom up and try to use your fingers as little as possible. The more you touch your hair, the frizzier it becomes.

Since our model had non-curly hair, we simply dried the hair roots. But not upside down, but separately by strands. Therefore, we cannot say anything about the preservation of curls, unfortunately. But the fact that the hair became more voluminous as a result is for sure.

How to use the detangling attachment

This attachment is great for just drying or straightening your hair. To begin with, we decided to test this nozzle on bangs. For this, we needed a brushing comb.

The bangs lay down perfectly for the first time, it was very obedient, and a basal volume appeared, which, by the way, lasted a very long time. At the same time, we did not use any means to fix the styling.

Hence the conclusion: the hair dryer helps not only to dry the hair, but also provides long-term hair styling.

How to use the concentrator

This attachment must be used in a certain way: first, you need to divide the hair into small sections, then dry each section separately to get the effect of perfectly straightened hair.

Nozzle controls airflow and dries every strand.

This process is quite long and time consuming, so we decided to use this nozzle only for tips.

After drying, the ends looked well-groomed, did not fluff, did not split and did not scatter in different directions.

Result

We used the smoothing head to completely dry the hair. After that, the hair looked more well-groomed, perfectly straightened and very obedient. Although, we repeat, we did not use a single hair fixer.

But the effect turned out like after a beauty salon, and it took much less time.

What about the noise level?

There have been many publications about the fact that the hair dryer is practically silent. Unfortunately, this is not entirely true. Yes, the noise level is much lower than that of a conventional hair dryer, but still not enough to hear someone whisper or even TV.

What is the result?

Despite the frightening amount at first, the hair dryer really justifies all the money spent on it. And if you calculate how much you can save on beauty salons, then the Dyson hair dryer is an even better offer! However, not everyone is ready to give such an amount at once.

How to distinguish the original from the fake

The world is such that there is no escape from replicas of famous brands. How to distinguish an original from a fake?

  • Price. Despite the fact that the price of a hair dryer surprises many, it is it that distinguishes the original from the fake. Manufacturers are not planning price cuts yet, and if you see a Dyson hair dryer at a price lower than what is on the market, this is a reason to think.

  • Packaging. The packaging always has the serial number of the gadget and a QR code to verify the authenticity of the product. Moreover, the packaging is always double: simple shipping made of cardboard and more presentable.

Certificate of Authenticity

  • Inside view of the packaging. Always check the packaging of the hair dryer and the set of nozzles inside the packaging. If there are any irregularities or inaccuracies, it is a fake. Everything is perfect at Dyson, as the company maintains its status.

  • Brand mention on gadget. For replicas, the name Dyson on the gadgets themselves is most often missing.

  • Weight. The original is usually heavier than the counterfeit. For example, the Dyson Supersonic dryer we tested weighs 630 grams.

  • Buttons on the hairdryer. Button markings on counterfeit gadgets wear off over time and may be uneven, as they are applied with paints. The top two buttons should be smooth, while the bottom two should be embossed.
