One of the best films ever made

17 years after incredibles was released, it continues to be a compelling, entertaining, funny, smart, ambitious, original, mature and just simply enjoyable movie. The dialogue is exceptional and the animation holds up surprisingly well. The characters are well written and very fleshed out. It is an animated film about superheroes and yet the chatacters and world feel so real.

It is my favourite pixar film and probably always will be. If you haven’t seen this masterpiece yet, stop reading this review and go watch it right now. Infact, even if you’ve seen it before, just watch it right now. It is that freaking good.

  • Netflix closes DVD business – disc rental service has been around for 25 years

Netflix, which started out as a mail-order DVD rental business, is finally shutting down its division, which, as it turns out, is still operating. Last discs ordered from DVD.com will ship to customers on 29September.

Netflix started out in 1997 as a movie and TV show rental company. Originally a single DVD rental service, in September 1999 the company introduced a monthly subscription concept, which offered the customer the option of renting any disc for a fixed fee once a month. Discs were delivered to customers and returned from them by mail.

“After an incredible 25 years of operation, we have decided to close DVD.com later this year. Our goal has always been to provide the best possible service to our customers, but as this business continues to shrink, it’s getting more difficult,” , the company says. As reported by The Verge , Netflix acquired the DVD.com domain in March 2012, just months after it revised its plan to spin off its mail-order DVD rental business into a separate company, Qwikster.

According to Netflix, the first DVD shipped was Beetlejuice. The disc was sent on March 10, 1998, and in total, according to the available statistics, about 5.2 billion DVDs were sent to customers. The most sought after disc is the sports drama The Blind Side.

The streaming service launched in 2007 and has since surpassed 200 million worldwide subscribers. The company says the DVD rental service was the booster rocket that propelled Netflix to the top spot. The company announced the closure of the rental service for movies and TV shows ahead of the sales report in the third quarter of fiscal year 2023.

After the beginning of events in Ukraine, the company announced its withdrawal from Russia, and now the content offered by it is received by Russian users in all sorts of workarounds.

US law allows iPhones and DVDs to be hacked

    July 27, 2010

US copyright lawmakers have changed course dramatically and taken some serious steps towards consumers, not copyright holders. Vesti.net program, 27 July.

US copyright lawmakers have dramatically changed course and taken some serious steps towards consumers, not copyright holders.

Amendments to the Intellectual Property Law by the Copyright Office and the Library of Congress went into effect Tuesday. According to them, the incredible is now officially allowed – hacking the iPhone, as well as protecting licensed DVDs (for the purpose of copying) and video games.

In the case of Apple’s smartphone, American lawmakers have completely sided with the consumer, who has until now been forced to use only those applications that the company allowed in the Appstore. From now on, the so-called “jailbreaking” is legalized – hacking a phone to install programs that are not approved by the manufacturer.

Despite all the protests of Apple, the US authorities nevertheless, albeit in a mild form, declared the company’s policy a monopoly. Apple itself responded by saying that the main goal of the company is to provide users with reliable smartphones. That is why applications are so strictly selected.

Most iPhone owners don’t jailbreak, and those who do are never going to be sued by Apple. Therefore, the amendments adopted by the authorities are more symbolic than practical.

By the way, the amendment has also been extended, which allowed iPhones to be reflashed in order to change the mobile operator.
