TV Screen Protector Product Information

Our TV Screen Protectors are designed to fit 95% of the TVs on the market today. We recommend on placement of order that you provide the make and model of your TV, that way we can provide you with the absolute best fit.

TV Armor’s acrylic screen protector measurements are listed below. When measuring the width for your TV screen protector, spool out the tape measure to the correct distance and center it on the TV. The tape measure (or width of the TV screen protector) should extend at minimum 3/4″ onto each of the plastic bezels of the TV (left and right sides). When comparing the height measurement, measure down from the top edge of the TV. The HD TV screen protector should extend at least a 3/4″ onto the bottom bezel. TV Armor also has custom size TV screen protectors available.

Your television will be protected if someone accidentally throws something like a toy, remote, Wii game controller, or ball at it. The TV Armor custom screen protector will also protect your TV from scratches and splashes.

An LCD screen protector won’t stop a large object thrown with a lot of force, or very heavy objects, like a brick, from damaging your TV screen. Obviously, even with a TV screen protector, never throw an object at your TV on purpose!

We’re proud to say that every TV Armor TV Screen Protector is manufactured in the USA using materials produced in the USA, in our Jackson, NJ facility.

Our TV screen protectors are designed to provide effective airflow between the TV screen protector and the surface of your TV, preventing heat buildup and keeping your TV cool. Some TV’s run hotter than others, especially Plasma TV’s. If you notice a lot of heat coming off the front of the screen, we recommend that at least 2 of the felt pads be installed under the lip of the TV screen guard to allow the heat to travel up and out the screen protector. If additional pads are need please contact us at [email protected].

Plasma and LCD televisions produce very low levels of harmful UV light. People who are extremely sensitive to UV light can be affected by this. Our TV screen protectors block up to 92% of all Ultra Violet light in the UVA/UVB and some of the UVC spectrums (250nm to 400nm).

Please check the size of our screen protector against your monitor/TV size to insure it will fit to your satisfaction. We can help you learn how to measure a TV for your screen protector. If it does not, simply place the make & model number of the display at checkout.

We can cut the custom size TV screen protector on our laser cutter and usually without any delay in shipping. Custom TV screen protectors are not returnable for size issues.

How to turn off parental controls on LG TV – LG MAGAZINE Russia Magazine

Each LG TV is equipped with a convenient button lock feature on the remote called “Child Lock”. LG TV Lock allows you to protect device settings if there is a small child in the house, in addition, this feature allows you to block TV viewing, which is often important to prevent a child from accessing inappropriate content.

However, sometimes the child lock feature creates unexpected problems for users. For example, the child himself, playing with the remote control, can set the protection quite by accident, or the user who has set the password can simply forget it over time. Let’s see how to unlock the LG TV and unlock the screen of the device.

In order to understand that the LG TV has not broken down, and there is a lock on the screen, it is enough to focus on certain signs:

  • broadcast pictures.
  • The TV screen shows a password field instead of the expected image.
  • The TV has only one channel, and the device does not respond to attempts to switch it with the remote control or the buttons on the panel of the TV itself.
  • Device switches off immediately after switching on.

If your LG TV goes into protection and locks the screen when you turn it on, you will need to unlock it. To do this, you need to use the instructions, which indicate the standard factory PIN code to unlock the device. If there is no instruction, then it can be found on the Internet, knowing the TV model, which is indicated on the back of the device.

The instructions indicate a special combination of numbers that is pressed to disable the restriction on channel search. By default, all TVs are set to the standard factory PIN – “0000”.

In addition, the lock can be disabled by pressing the button with a drawn key on the remote control. This button should be pressed and held for ten seconds, then the password will either be removed or reset to the factory default.

If the security code is set manually and there is no chance to remember the code set on the TV, then the easiest way to solve the problem is to reset the settings to the factory settings. To reset the password to factory settings, follow these steps:

  • Using the remote control, enter the main “Menu” of the TV and go to the “Settings” section.
  • Next, select “Security” and the “Reset PIN” tab.
  • Enter any combination of 4 digits and press the OK button.
  • Immediately after that, you need to press the channel switching buttons in the following sequence: Up-Up-Down-Up.
  • Enter the code “0313” and press the “OK” button.
  • After completing the steps, the password code will be reset and the LG TV button lock will be removed.
  • If the screen asks for a pin code again when you turn on the TV, it will be enough to enter the standard password “0000”.

To reset the passcode on the TV using the keypad, follow these steps:

  • Press the POWER button and turn off the power.
  • Immediately after that, you need to press the buttons on the remote control in the following sequence: MUTE–8–2–4.
  • Next, press the “POWER” button to turn on the power.

To reset the passcode on the TV using the Smart Touch Control, you need to:

  • Turn on the power of the device using the “POWER” button.
  • Immediately after that, you need to press the buttons on the remote control in the following sequence: MUTE–Increase. volume-RETURN-Decrease. volume-RETURN-Increased. volume–RETURN.

If you forgot your password combination, use one of these ways to unlock the TV, and then in the future you will know exactly how to act if the child accidentally locks the TV.

To change the lock password on LG TVs without resorting to trying to reset the code along with resetting all settings to factory settings, you can use the following method: “.

  • Select “Security” and click on it to continue.
  • During the transition, a window will pop up asking you to enter a password.
  • You should not enter the standard values, but the combination “0325”.
  • Next, a window will appear asking you to enter the new password twice to confirm it.
  • In addition to the standard reasons for blocking, there may also be such as:

    • Lack of sufficient RAM in the device or a RAM failure has occurred. Then you can’t do anything on your own. In this case, a flashing of the equipment is required, and only a specialist from the LG service center can do it.
    • If it’s a Smart TV, it could be due to outdated software. The system reacts in this way to the increased number of errors that block the system and the broadcast of channels. To fix this shortcoming, you need to reflash the TV by updating the software online or using a USB flash drive.

If the lock is no longer needed, then you can completely remove the “child lock” on the LG TV, to do this, follow these steps: “.

  • Next, select “Security” and turn off “Child Lock”.
  • The LG TV’s Child Lock function can be removed without a remote control only on older models where the menu can be accessed using the buttons on the TV panel. But on modern models this is not possible, so in this case it will be necessary to seek help from the LG service center to specialists.

If the old remote is broken and stops working, the first thing to do is to try to fix it, sometimes just changing the batteries is enough. In many cases, cleaning the microcircuit helps a lot, you can do this with pure alcohol or cologne, then dry the circuit and try to use the technique again.

If the remote control is lost or broken, you must buy a new one. But when buying accessories, you need to choose only the original. The universal remote control in this case most likely will not help. You can determine that the remote control is broken if the LG TV does not respond to signals coming from it.

You can also protect yourself from such cases in advance, for this you need to install special software on your smartphone that will allow you to use the communication device as a remote control. Then, if the original remote is lost or defective, you can always use your phone and unlock the TV screen.
