Our DVD and Blu-ray sales estimates are based on weekly retail surveys, which we use to build a weekly market share estimate for each title we are tracking. The market share is converted into a weekly sales estimate based on industry reports on the overall size of the market, including reports published in Media Play News.
For example, if our weekly retail survey estimates that a particular title sold 1% of all units that week, and the industry reports sales of 1,500,000 units in total, we will estimate 15,000 units were sold of that title. The consumer spending estimate is based on the average sales price for the title in the retailers we survey.
We refine our estimates from week to week as more data becomes available. In particular, we adjust weekly sales figures for the quarter once the total market estimates are published by the Digital Entertainment Group. Figures will therefore fluctuate each week, and totals for individual titles can go up or down as we update our estimates.
Because sales figures are estimated based on sampling, they will be more accurate for higher-selling titles.

Review of the film Bumblebee by Maxim Sukhaguzov
Briefly explain why Bumblebee is the first film about transformers that looks like a normal movie.
Retreating from the Decepticon-occupied planet Cybertron, the Autobot leader Optimus Prime asks the yellow robot B-127 to fly to Earth and keep a low profile. He lands in the California forest of 1987 in the very clearing where the squad led by Lieutenant Burns (John Cena) is conducting exercises. From annoying people, the transformer hides in the guise of an old Volkswagen Beetle, because this model is the first one that catches your eye. But it is in the form of this yellow carriage that the robot becomes the perfect 18th birthday present for the unsuspecting tomboy Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld).
For parts-hungry Charlie, suddenly a sentient car with the sweetest batting eyes of all Autobots becomes both a vehicle, a pet, and a dead father’s replacement. The girl gives the transformer the nickname Bumblebee, because he looks like a buzzing bee. In reality, having lost the skills of a combat robot along with the memory cells, he began to look more like a smart dog who gradually learns to communicate with the mistress with the help of radio hits of the 80s. There is also a real dog in the film, but no one pays attention to it anymore.
Russian trailer “Bumblebee”. The Autobot is reportedly voiced by rapper L’One in the dub, but the irony is that Bumblebee only says five lines in the entire movie was announced even before Michael Bay said goodbye to directing the franchise after The Last Knight. The mention of transformers was deleted from the title of the new film, and the director of the puppet cartoon about the death of “Kubo. The Legend of the Samurai” by Travis Knight, who even managed to get an Oscar nomination for visual effects in animation. This, of course, is the right, albeit belated idea to give a movie about “Transformers” to a person who likes something chamber, analog and manual; who sees in the mechanical first of all the living, and is not turned on by mechanisms, like Bay.
Therefore, the film quickly disavows another meat grinder with robots in favor of a more childish and old-fashioned ingenuous story about friendship with an alien, looking towards “Alien”, “Steel Giant” and even “Alpha”, to which there is a direct reference. “Bumblebee” is remembered not at all by the battle scenes that are actually filmed here on autopilot (this is the worst thing in the film), but by good humor, overflowing with the warmth of school holidays and puppy sadness almost like in the Soviet film “White Bim Black Ear”. The director of “Kubo” even touches on the favorite topic of loss, but still without any hysterical ending, but rather with a slight breath of sadness that, they say, childhood has come to an end, it’s time to transfer to the Chevrolet Corvette .
It’s all wonderfully played by matured Hailee Steinfeld, who you may have lost since her debut in The Coen Brothers’ Iron Grit, but she’s actually great at coming-of-age stories – you should definitely see her coming-of-age- the film “Almost Seventeen”, which will push “Lady Bird” in your heart due to a duet with Woody Harrelson. Actually, Steinfeld is the best thing in Bumblebee. Here, she sometimes has to get into cardboard skirmishes with her mother, played by Pamela Adlon from Californication. But Hailey vividly copes with all the awkward moments, banal phrases and the game paired with a piece of iron with eyes.
But still, Travis Knight is a puppeteer, so there is a feeling that he was faced with the task of the studio to take all the obligatory modern trends into his hands and pull the necessary strings. Here is a long-trodden and understandable plot path about the friendship of a teenager and a stranger, who are opposed by die-hard military men. Here are the current dances around the 1980s, which are now in demand in the cinema. Get a playlist of retro songs and jokes about The Smiths. Here is the main character, a girl who can stand up for herself and decide for herself when she should let a guy rushing to the side approach her. Even among the Decepticons, a villainous heroine has appeared. Everything as ordered.
All in all, Bumblebee is the best Transformers at the moment, but is that enough in 2018? This is quite a cute prefabricated constructor from everything that we could already see and even love before. The spin-off can be watched in isolation from all the other “Transformers”, even if you do not know who Optimus Prime is and how he differs from Amazon Prime. But if we discard all references to the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, then the bottom line will be an average children’s movie, for example, similar to last year’s “Monster Trucks” or “Pete and His Dragon”. Yes, perhaps this part stands out favorably against the general background of the entire franchise. But to look like a normal film against the background of the rest of the “Transformers” – you see, such an achievement.
