Function
In the oil trap, coarse wastewater treatment takes place on absorbent filters based on a fibrous hydrophobic material made of propylene. The sorbent is a non-woven fibrous material formed into a three-dimensional structure from hydrophobic polymer fibers fastened together. With this method of formation, additional capacious cavities are created, into which oil freely penetrates upon direct contact, fills the entire volume due to capillary forces, while firmly holding inside the corrugated fibrous structure of the sorbent due to adhesion and easily separated during squeezing.
Contamination concentrations of oil products and suspended solids in purified water correspond to the indicators for further discharge of effluents into the sewer networks of the city or underground filtration fields.
The concentration of pollutants in the treated liquid after OT is determined by the concentration and dispersion of particles of pollutants in the wastewater at the facility inlet, as well as compliance with the maintenance schedule.
