First off I love my govee lights.Besides my bathrooms they are in every room of the house, including outside.I get super jealous because my husband and myself game.He uses the livingroom(75″ 8k samsung tv) with the backlight camera setup and its nothing short of STUNNING.ESP watching movies and playing anything on the XBOX.I have a samsung monitor setup that I use to work and game and recently I treated myself to neon strip lights for behind my computer (from govee) that are in the shape of a heart.I hate using the overhead lights in my work area because they are hard on the eyes.The heart gives me just the right amount of light on darker days that its raining or something and I need to work. After hooking up these back lights I seen that they can link together!now both my monitor lights and heart change based on what is seen by the little camera on top.I would buy these 5 more times if I had to, and along with the warranty, and customer service help from the people over at govee no wonder the company has grown so much over the years.GOOD FOR THEM!Believe it or not, but I do think that having the back lights on the monitor helps relieve some eye stress from staring at electronics all day too.I have noticed I have a lot less head aches after setting these up.(between working from home and gaming after work I easily sit at the desk up to 12 hrs a day).I tend to get migraines, so this may be worth trying…I posted a reel on my instagram with the lights working and linked together.. thequeenbacon

Benjamin Libet’s famous experiment showed that our brain makes a decision before we realize this decision. In other words, it seems to us that we set out to do something, made a free choice. But in reality, everything is already determined at the level of neurons that lie deeper than the structures that are responsible for consciousness.

My character Leo thinks that he is the one who makes the decisions in the game, when in fact I make them. But he doesn’t know about it.

Leo developed in Tolstoy. “Tolstoy” is a universal neural network in which you can create software modules-characters that can be aware of themselves. Of course, we are talking about imitation of such an ability. There are other game environments, experimental models “Darwin” and “Chinese Wall”. Little is known about Darwin, there is only a trailer, and the Chinese Wall is an attempt to realize the free will of the character, when he can make decisions independently of the gamer.

I named mine Leo1556989 – with a hint of the basic program. The number after the name is a serial number, because there are billions of players and all the normal names have long been taken. Leo is a tall, good-looking man with a short beard and certain, I think, well-balanced abilities. He is no worse than other characters, and – not only in my opinion – much better.

In general, the creation of a character in Tolstoy is another story. There are so many parameters that it can take years to improve it. Some people never get to the game itself. You can, of course, use the character generator, where you set only the main characteristics, such as gender, age, appearance, and the program – the rest, randomly. I chose the middle path: I set a part myself, and I provided a part to the program.

They say that “Darwin” will allow you to download information about your own DNA into a character, translated into a code. Thus, it will be possible to create almost your own clone. But it is not yet possible to copy one’s consciousness – there is too much of everything to be reduced to one scheme.

I play on the most popular server, with a simulated world close to the real one, but with some additional options. It is possible to put mods, but these things that add all sorts of fantastic features seem to me an illegal intrusion into the territory of the familiar. It’s hard for me to do anything new. By the way, this is also noticeable in my game character – even in bot mode, he behaves in the same old-fashioned way as I do.

Bot mode is when you don’t play, but life in the virtual world goes on. Accordingly, you do not make decisions for the character, he does everything himself with the help of AI – artificial intelligence. The game algorithm works. But this is not for me – I have no idea how everything happens there while I’m gone. Real bots (not game characters) controlled by a neural network do everything better than live gamers (if the AI ​​is turned on in full force). These bots keep order in the game. Of course, you can’t force the neural network to work at full power for your character, it will result in an imbalance – gamers will immediately lose. But you can turn on the bot mode, and relax yourself.

In this mode, my Leo usually does nothing at all. Of course, he is active: he wanders around the apartment, opens and closes the refrigerator, turns on the TV, lies on the sofa with his phone, goes to the store, but does not perform any productive actions. He himself, of course, thinks that this is how he likes to spend his time.

Theoretically, he can become an unwitting participant in some important game events, but when the character is in bot mode, the likelihood of this is extremely small. The virtual world protects the characters of non-playing gamers from serious incidents.

One day while I was minding my own business, a funny thing happened to Leo. He went to the store and met a girl. Something happened between them, but since Leo was in bot mode, nothing serious. And when I returned to the game, I found Leo in deep thought: why didn’t he take the phone from her? why didn’t you meet? And he seemed to go in cycles, all the time scrolling through these thoughts in his virtual head.

However, Leo did not really experience it – the consciousness of the game characters is far from human, they do not experience emotions, but only imitate them. And it was precisely because of this imitation that he got stuck. The program considered that the situation was romantic and he now had to think about it, not having a real opportunity to do something, since he was in bot mode.

As a result, I had to “roll back” it, losing some progress.

The fact is that even in the bot mode, skills are pumped, although very weakly. It is most convenient to grind. You are sleeping, and your character makes all sorts of body movements, and coins or points fall into your piggy bank. Or he walks and wanders around the neighborhood, collects rubbish and drags it to the hut. As a rule, nothing useful, but you can then sell cheap to hucksters.

Version 1098.23.22 introduced the ability to go to work in bot mode. That is, your character, while you are away, goes to the office in the morning, sits there until the evening in front of the screen and presses the buttons. As a result, you get money – his salary in the game world, and this is more efficient than grinding, although, in fact, just as boring. I haven’t tried it yet, I feel sorry for my character. But others do not spare their own.

There are mods where a character in bot mode can go to cafes, bars and cinemas and generally do all sorts of things, for example, even get married. But I do not use such options, because, as already mentioned, it is very old-fashioned. Although if they are included in the official version as an add-on, then why not.

If you see that some character has started to constantly screw up, then everything is clear: he was sold. Pumped and sold. That happens. Someone plays-plays, plays-plays, and eventually gets bored. And he sells his hero for good money. Or he pumps it up on purpose from the very beginning, in order to sell it later. But it makes little sense to buy someone else’s character – only beginners who have a lot of money are led to this. Because if you yourself are a bad gamer, then no matter how cool your character is, you won’t get far with him. Even in bot mode, he will cope better on his own than when you play him.

A good gamer comes from God. It either exists or it doesn’t.

You can reach some heights, but if you don’t have talent, then you will continue to do small things: complete ordinary quests, simulate middle-class life, work in an office from nine to five.

Whether the character is a movie star, a prime minister, or a world-famous artist, or even the founder of a religion, it can easily turn out to be a software module.
