1. Try T-Mobile for free for three months
T-Mobile
T-Mobile is taking advantage of the eSIM revolution to bring you an extraordinary offer. The company is rolling out a new feature called Network Pass that, unbelievably, gives you free T-Mobile service for three months. That’s unlimited service, too, with no data caps outside of the usual 50GB throttling limit.
There’s no obvious catch to this deal — T-Mobile wants to convince you to switch. You can try the service without leaving your current provider, and there are plenty of incentives to be found on this page if you decide to do so. It’s currently available on iOS only, but Android availability is coming soon.
Hit the button below to find out more.
2. Get a free Google Pixel 7a, or save $500 on the Pixel 7 range
Rita El Khoury / Android Authority
The Google Pixel 7a represents one of the best value phones in the Android world, and T-Mobile already has an enticing offer on it. When you add a new line qualifying line, you can get the Google Pixel 7a for free without a trade-in.
The deal requires you to make 24 monthly payments as part of your plan, with the full retail value of the Google phone returned to you in bill credits across that period. If you already have an eligible line, then you can save $300 by trading in your old device, meaning you’ll only pay $149.99 in the balance.
If you want the latest Pixel, you can save on those too. Adding a new line or trading in if you’re an existing customer can save you $500 on the Pixel 7 or the Pixel 7 Pro.
3. Save up to $830 on the iPhone 14 range with trade
Robert Triggs / Android Authority
You can get several phones for free or a significant discount by switching to T-Mobile and trading in your old device. The iPhone 14 range falls into that category, with trade-ins fetching up to $830 off your new Apple handset.
To get these iPhones for free, you’ll need to switch to T-Mobile’s Go5G plan. The plan includes unlimited data on a 5G network, a free Netflix account, and up to 4K UHD streaming. If you want to keep your current T-Mobile plan, you can still get up to $200 off a new iPhone with an eligible trade-in.
Your savings depend on which phone you want and what you’ve got to trade in, but some of the discounts are pretty hefty. Here’s a rundown of how much trading in your old device can save you:
- Apple iPhone 14 — Free with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro — $830 off with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max — $830 off with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
- Apple iPhone 14 Plus — Free with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
You can also save on the previous-generation iPhones too:
- Apple iPhone 13 — Free with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
- Apple iPhone 13 Pro — $830 with trade and new line, or $200 off with trade only.
You can also save $700 on any of the devices if you buy two and activate two new lines of service.

T-Mobile
When you sign up for the Go5G Plus with T-Mobile, not only will you get any of the free or discounted phones covered above, but you’ll also enjoy a whole year of Apple TV Plus at no extra cost. The streaming service is home to exclusive Apple originals, such as the Emmy award-winning series Ted Lasso, See, and For All Mankind — all of which we recommend watching first.

11. Other options on the T-Mobile network
Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority
If you’re looking for a great deal on the T-Mobile network that doesn’t necessarily have the T-Mobile name, you can also consider looking into an MVNO. An MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) is a third-party carrier that relies on a major network for coverage. Here are a few of the T-Mobile-based MVNOs that we recommend:
- Mint Mobile: The MVNO is headed up by Ryan Reynolds. Choose your plan here.
- Tracfone: One of the longest-standing MVNOs. Pick a plan here.
- Metro by T-Mobile: Formerly MetroPCS. Check out the plans here.
Those are all of the best T-Mobile deals at the moment. Stay tuned as we will update this page with more deals as they are announced.
How T-Mobile free music and video streaming works
2023 By : Geoffrey Carr | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-07-31 01:39
Data is data… except when it isn’t. T-Mobile makes things a little confusing by giving you a set amount of data and then offering unlimited music and video streams that don’t count towards the bill, but only for certain services.
Most T-Mobile platforms include these features
Do you use T-Mobile as your mobile operator? Then you probably have these features known as Music Freedom and Binge On. However, some older plans may not have them, so be sure to check which T-Mobile plan you have and which features are included before counting on it.
To find out, go to the T-Mobile account website, sign in to your account and click “View Plan Details” under your phone line, then click “Additional T-Mobile Benefits” to see what’s listed.
How it works
Music Freedom and Binge. Accept certain types of data transfers – music and video streaming from specific services – and exclude them from the data you have to pay for. So if you have a 1 GB monthly limit, you can watch 50 GB of Netflix or stream 50 GB of music, but it won’t count towards your limit. Browse 1 GB of web pages and you’ll hit that limit.
Note that this will eliminate the use of data counters built into iPhone and Android phones. They will show you how much data your phone is actually using, but T-Mobile won’t count it all. You must use the meter on the T-Mobile website to keep track of how much data T-Mobile is counting against your data limit.
Image
Music Freedom for Ringtones
Music Freedom works by allowing you to stream unlimited music from certain services without relying on your account.
To do this, you just need to use the service app on your Android phone or iPhone. You cannot use streaming on another device, such as your computer.
Simply launch one of the supported apps and start streaming music and everything will work fine and T-Mobile will simply not consider it against using your data. T-Mobile notes that these services include some other data that is not music, such as album art, and that a small amount of data will account for your limit.
Supported music streaming apps include Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Groove Music, Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, TIDAL and many more. A complete list of music streaming services and more information is available on the T-Mobile Music Freedom website.
There is no shortage of this feature. It just gives you free data when streaming music from some services. This will not reduce the quality of the music you are streaming.
Image
Video Binge
Binge On works by allowing you to stream an unlimited number of videos from specific video streams without counting against your data.
However, adjusting Binge On reduces the quality of the video you are streaming. This is a disadvantage – you can stream whatever you like, but this quality is lower than if it were counted against your data. T-Mobile is banking on the fact that you don’t mind seeing low-quality video on a small smartphone screen.
Binge On also suppresses all videos you stream to your phone, even if they are not from a service that has selected unlimited video streaming. This makes all videos look lower so they will take up less of your data. If you have an unlimited data plan or just don’t like this throttling, you can disable Binge On to stream high quality videos to your phone. T-Mobile will not throttle video if you turn this off.
Binge On is more flexible than Music Freedom. You can share information from a supported service using a regular app or website. You can also tether to a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone and stream the service there, apart from the fact that you’re using data. However, devices such as set-top boxes and game consoles are not currently supported.
Supported video streaming apps: Amazon Video, Google Play Movies, HBO Go, HBO Now, Hulu, Netflix, Sling TV, Vudu, YouTube, and more. A complete list of video streaming services and more information is available on the Ting Mobile Binge On website.
While this seems convenient to T-Mobile customers, it causes problems with neutrality. T-Mobile grants privileges to certain types of data and certain specific services, potentially making it harder for new music and video streaming services to compete. T-Mobile disagrees and claims the features are useful. The discussion will continue.
