I would not say that I have a weakness for sound or any devices, and I want to have a lot of them and aimlessly. But I always liked good and necessary things in everyday life. Therefore, I want to share with you my opinion about such a column.

Soft bumpers in five colors can be purchased separately. However, €30 apiece is a dubiously good deal.

If you fork out, such a box will protect the column from damage and scratches from all sides:

Solid design, impressive weight, good materials. The bottom of the column is rubberized to prevent slipping.

Control

Immediately noticeable is not the best display. The column will not show in any way which device is connected, what volume level is set and whether the sound is turned on at all.

Bluetooth connection is instant, there is no long search for the device, as I had with other speakers. I turned it on, connected it and forgot about the speaker – if you don’t want to adjust the equalizer, then it will no longer require attention.

Operating range up to 10 m in a room without walls. It will still work through the wall, but there may be interference and pauses. Don’t expect the sound source to be at one end of the house and the speaker at the other. It is designed to be used in the same room as the player.

Power

The bottom of the speaker is covered in rubber for a reason. In addition to the fact that the device will not go anywhere if you do not push it hard, the rubber mat on the bottom matches the size of the notch on the docking station. So for charging it is enough to put the speaker on the docking station. No need to connect a wire or insert the plug on the dock into the jack. Just put it in and you’re done.

The device charges quickly enough and works for a long time. The battery here is solid, but the declared 7 hours is out of the question. On a full charge, the speaker will be able to work up to 5 hours and then ask for food.

On the road, you can not take the docking station and get by with one power supply, the speaker can be charged simply by connecting the plug. The power supply is very small and the plug is attached directly to it.

The plug is easily removed so that the device does not take up much space during transportation. Removable battery, 2430 mAh. In theory, the battery can be replaced by yourself, but it is quite difficult to find it in free sale. Unless you buy from eBay.

Sound

This device can be called a speaker as long as it is turned off. The thing for which the review was started is the sound. The first thought when you turn on the column: “It can’t be!”. It seems that such a small box cannot make such sounds.

If you read reviews about the device, most people agree: the sound is amazing. And this is the main advantage that outweighs the disadvantages.

But even here there is a small fly in the ointment: the device works via Bluetooth 2.0, and the wireless connection significantly compresses the audio stream. Therefore, if you really want to appreciate all the power and sound quality, you need to connect the speaker via mini-jack. It is located on the right side, next to the portable power connector.

The side part is different for the first and second models. In the first – jack and power (pictured), in the second – power and USB.

The bass is strong, sometimes it can seem too strong, but in most cases you will just enjoy the way the tracks sound, finding new sounds in them that were not heard on other speakers.

You wouldn’t expect this kind of sound quality from a speaker of this size.

When you turn it on for the first time, you get the impression that along with the column, some other speakers have also turned on.

However, in pursuit of high-quality sound, the speaker may lose certain shades, so I would recommend using an equalizer, even if it is automatic.

At minimum levels, bass is perfectly audible, but at maximum volume, low frequencies are muffled so that the speaker does not turn into wheezing.

The loudspeaker can be appreciated indoors, as the environment plays a big role.
