    I am so very pleased with this air conditioner! It’s not big and bulky but still super powerful and cools my bedroom down very quickly! I’m not super informed with what btu cools down what area room etc but this is perfect in my average size bedroom and then some! It’s not overly loud like some previous air conditioners I’ve had that made it hard to fall asleep because of the noise,I sleep right next to it and am still able to fall asleep like a baby. I like that it came with a remote so I can turn it on from the doorway to cool it down while I do my nighttime routine and come back in a matter of minutes to a nice cool room. It’s got all the different modes you’d expect to see (cool, dry, fan, and even an eco mode which I love) its also got a sleep mode and timer all of which can also be controlled by the remote. I’m so happy with this a.c and the fact I’m not going to melt this summer!

    I use this air conditioner at my little weekend get away cabin. It was very easy to install and simple to use. It is very quiet, and cooled down my room very quickly. I love the remote control feature to turn it off. I like that it has the abilty to be set in different modes for energy saving, or sleep mode, as well as a timer.

    Living in Florida the heat can be unbearable and even with our house ac unit cooling the house it can barely keep up an reach the temp set to . This is because Florida is so hot during summer with heat index of around 105º . Staying cool during these summer months is a must while the kids are out for summer break . This window unit is just what my home needed . Installation was fairely easy and took me and hubby around 30 minutes to install with the help of each other . Window unit fits great and i love that it keeps a room cool . We use at night and during the hottest parts of the day . It gets the room so cold i have to leave for a bit do thaw out lol . Hubby loves it though . No issues with it . While running the noise from it isn’t to loud and im able to still sleep with it running without the sound bothering us . Love the eco energy star feature and love that i can actually turn off the leds lights at night so the display isnt bothering our sleep . Ita able to keep my 350 sq ft bedroom nice and cool with no hesitation. Loving the cool days in my room now thanks to this window unit

    We can’t say enough about This Midea 6000BTU easy cool window unit air conditioner, I will start by saying it works great! We use it in my mother in law suite. It cools great! The remote control is an added bonus . The unit was so easy to install. It is efficient and runs quite too! It’s perfect for her area and easy for her to use.

    I received the Midea-6000 BTU window air conditioner about a week ago and it works perfectly. I installed in an upstairs bedroom and it has done a wonderful job of keeping it cool. Outside it has been in the upper 80s and humid but inside is perfect. It was easy to set up and install and is nice and quite. Love the fact you can set the temperature and it will keep it.

    I got this air conditioner for a spare room that is not connected to the ventilation system to my home. The room is over 400 square feet in area. It literally took 5 minutes to cool off with temperatures that was over 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Will definitely reccomend this to family and friends.

    The Midea 6,000 btu easycool window air conditioner is very easy to install. It is quiet when it runs and really fast at cooling the room down. I love that it has a remote and I can be sitting across the room to turn it on and get it going. It is easy to adjust the temp. and set up the way you want it. No getting up, just relax and push a button! I really am loving it.

    I got this just when we had a week long heat wave and this did a great job! This air conditioner met all my wants and needs when it comes to keeping the area nice and cool! This is a 6,000 btu so it will cool a nice size room with ease and it comes with a remote so how easy is that! The installation was not hard at all and I had it installed pretty quickly. I thought that the air conditioner was not loud at all so no need to have the tv volume turned up while it was on. I really like that it is energy star rated so I dont have to break the bank to keep cool and most importantly I am cool and comfortable which is the most important thing for me!

FAQs

Q.   1) What are the standard Wattage and amps used?

Information pertaining to watts and camps can be found on the rating plated located on the side of the unit.

Q.   2) Can I put an extension on the power cord?

We do not recommend using an extension cord.

Q.   3) How do I calculate the square feet of the space I would like to cool?

Square feet is calculated by multiplying the length by the width.  For example, a room that is 10 feet long by 25 feet wide is 250 square feet.

Q.   4) What does automatic mode mean?

When automatic mode is selected, this automatically sets the appropriate option for your room based on the set temperature and the ambient temperature. For example, if it is 15°C outside, the unit would flip to fan mode if the set temperature was above 15. If it is set to 25°C the unit would revert to cooling mode. The unit would not revert to cooling mode unless the temperature outside was over 25.

Q.   5) Why is my air conditioner not cooling my entire apartment?

Danby air conditioners are designed to cool a single room and not multiple rooms.  Any walls or doors will interfere with the air flow.

Q.   6) Is there supposed to be styrofoam in the unit?

The styrofoam that is inside the unit acts as insulation. Do not remove it. Only remove loose packaging.

Q.   7) Why do I hear water in the unit?

Water is collected during the air conditioning process. This water will drain out of the unit and onto the ground and is why the unit should be installed on a slight downward tilt.

Q.   8) What size screws?

The sizes range from size 6-10 but varies based on model and screw location. Please consult your owner’s manual for more details.

Q.   9) Do I need to buy an installation kit?

All Danby window air conditioners come complete with all required hardware for installation.  Danby provides the installation guide in the manual as well as providing a video on our YouTube channel under the “How To” play list.

Q.   10) What are the window ac decibel levels?

Danby window air conditioners have a sound rating from 39.5 decibels to 61 decibels.  The exact decibel range is determined by the model of the unit and whether it is in fan, cooling or dry mode.
